We took the high road,......

Before we could leave this morning Nana sent the sheep dogs out to round up Shaun who had gone to graze some grass. The dogs names are Jessie and Tess and they have been helping to retrain Rusty about sheep not being lunch.

We went to the Loch Ness Discovery Centre where we learnt a lot about Nessie. She is a very misunderstood monster. Most of the sightings have been of logs, bow waves and deer swimming with the occasional seagull and a good imagination. The scientific data was very interesting as we were asked to draw our own conclusions.

On our way out of the village we looked back and could see the ruins of an old castle.

We then headed into Invarness. We had some lunch and wrote some postcards but as I can't write Nana and Poppa had to do the writing. Keep a look out in your mailboxes.

As we left Invarness we came across another castle and decided to explore it. It was called Crowder Castle and the Countess still lives there during Winter. Poppa was not allowed to take in the backpack so I hitched a lift in his back pocket. I stood gaurd of the castle and played in the gardens.
The next part of the trip was to follow the highland tourist drive but the Satnav took us over some other roads. The roads were one lane and windy and uppy downy. We climbed over about 5 mountain ranges with a couple of them being very high.

Are we there yet?
Over the next mountain.

Well we did get there but before we did Nana found some red squirrels playing in a tree. It was just after that Poppa realised that the petrol was getting low and we had no idea of were there was a service station. Luckily the road we were on soon joined a motorway and then there was a service station just as the gauge hit empty.

We are staying in a B&B called the Old Vicarage. It is a nice place not far from the beach so Nana has already been for a walk on the beach.

Love you all

Nugget
