Highway to somewhere

The day started far too early. We (that is Prickles and me) were bundled into a bag and off we went. We were going somewhere as Nana and Poppa had put all their bags into Jayson's car. After a short while we stopped and said goodbye to Jayson and left him at his school. Where to now?

We heard Nana giving instructions to Poppa as the SatNav read them out. We were speeding along and Poppa was complaining about London traffic.

After a bit of a sleep we heard the car slowing down - Are we there yet! No said Poppa we are at Warwick and are going to have some breakfast. Poppa found a map and then tried to find were we had to go. We tried to help but We didn't know which way to hold the map. Poppa soon found a place for us to go and get breakfast. After breakfast and a walk around town we drove to a nice park across the road from a real castle. Nana and Poppa took us to see the castle but it didn't open for another hour so we just walked in the grounds. Suddenly there was a rustling in the leaves and Prickles thought it might have been her relatives, but, no it was a fox. It stared at us and we stared at it not knowing what to do. we then began to talk to each other and found out that the fox was lost and had no den to go to.

Well Nana is a softy so we convinced her to bring the fox with us.

So back into the car for the rest of the trip. At least we had a new friend to talk to and teased Poppa with "Are we there yet!" Poppa replied that we would be walking the rest of the way but he is a softy too.

Poppa stopped for some fuel and bought himself a diet coke. As he was driving and took a drink he yelled out YUK!. He had bought a cherry flavoured diet coke. We all laughed especially Nana.

We arrived at a village called Grange-over-Sands where Nana is going to a meeting and giving a talk. I suppose we will have to look after Poppa for a few days.

Well time for another nap.
