Lochs, Mountains, Castles, Rain all things Scottish.

Halò   Ciamar a tha sibh?

We are on our way northwards. We went into Glasgow and checked in at the Information Centre to get maps and ideas of where to stay. Poppa found a place where we could get on the internet to look for some places to stay. While walking around town we came across a piper and I got to talk to him. I think he had never met a wombat before. Nana wanted to stay in a castle but the cost was about $750 AUD. We found a nice farm near Loch Ness so that gave us a target of how far we had to get today.

We headed out towards Loch Lomond. We were able to stop and have a bit of a walk and play. There was nice scenery and the rain stayed away. After a number  of stops we continued up the road towards Port William. The road was windy and climbing up into the mountains. A one place there was a waterfall and while walking into the falls Nana droped me and I fell down the slope and Poppa had to rescue me. We got to a small village called Crianlarich, which none of us could pronounce. We had some lunch before going on.

After another loch we were going up a hill when Poppa suddenly pulled in. There was another piper standing in the rain and wind on the hillside over looking a small loch.

We then continued over the mountains and headed down through a valley known as Glencoe. The rain started and the clouds were sitting on the mountains. It was very cold and the scenery was a misty and a bit mysterious. Poppa kept muttering about the other drivers going to fast and staying to close behind.

When we got to Fort William we did some shopping and got some food before heading up towards Loch Ness. There were some more Lochs and the mountain towering over us. In places the road hugged the cliff and the water. We stopped when we got to Loch  Ness to have a look at a ruined castle. It was then time to go up to the Farm where we will be staying tonight. Rusty was licking his lips until he found out they farm cows.

We all got to jump on the four poster bed.
